Here's the Plan:

Next steps for Democrats to flip the Senate, hold the House and win the Presidency

#1

First, get rid of the Republican “Cover-up Caucus.”
The following Republican Senators are up for re-election in 2020: Susan Collins (ME), Marth McSally (AZ), Joni Ernst (IA), Corey Gardner (CO), Thom Tillis (NC), David Perdue (GA), John Cornyn (TX), Lindsey Graham (SC), and Mitch McConnell (KY).

Check out the Payback Project, a special effort to defeat the nine Republicans who voted to cover-up for Donald Trump.
Money matters, but so do boots on the ground, tweets, and postcards to voters, canvassers, volunteers, letter writers, and protesters. I frequently receive requests from readers asking what they should do to help the resistance. The answer is that it depends on where you live, what your resources are, and what talents you have. But I can give a one-size-fits-all answer: You must do something.

The easiest way to get involved is to join a community: The League of Women Voters, Vote Forward, Swing Left, PostCardsToVoters, Field Team 6, Fair Fight 2020, and many others! Team up with a spouse, partner, friend, neighbor, or stranger and join an organization. There is courage in numbers!

#2

Second, don’t forget to support candidates for the House.
We can’t let control of the House slip away. Having control of the House has made all the difference in our ability to bring a measure of accountability to Trump.

#3

Finally, get out the vote in the presidential election.
Trump remains historically unpopular. See Newsweek, “New Poll Shows Every Democratic Frontrunner Beating Donald Trump in 2020 Election.” But Trump’s unpopularity won’t matter unless we have a record turnout. How do we generate record turnout? Easy: Hard work, face-to-face meetings, traveling to a purple or red state, and funding organizations that register voters.

Concluding Thoughts
We are emerging from one of the most tumultuous periods in our nation’s history, and we are still standing! Better still, we are poised to win. Put aside your apprehensions and join the fight. Will it be easy sailing from this point forward? Nope! Lean into the uncertainty and turn that nervous energy into action!
