The Big Impact:
We’ll text up to 1 Million voters in battleground states about applying to vote by mail.
Texting is one of the most effective ways to reach the voters we need to help us save our democracy. Our goal for the Together for 2020 Text-a-Thon on Saturday August 22 is to reach 1 million voters in battleground states in three fun-filled hours.
The Fun:
Music by professional DJs plus special guests including:
David Byrne (founding member of the Talking Heads and current Broadway sensation for his acclaimed, “American Utopia;”)
NBC commentator Heather McGhee
Congresswoman Katherine Clark
Frances Moore Lappe (author of “Diet for a Small Planet” which started a revolution in how Americans eat.)
Governor Deval Patrick
American comic Jimmy Tingle
Texters also will be treated to inspiring words by Massachusetts’ own Sen. Elizabeth Warren
But the real prize is waiting for us on November 3rd!
How to Join the Party:
Anyone can do it. No prior experience needed. Just a device with an Internet connection. We don’t use your phone number at all.
No prior activist texting experience is necessary.
We have set up free virtual training sessions on Resistance Labs’ computer program, which protects your privacy – recipients don’t get your phone number.
The program also provides you with scripted texts that you can send with a click of your mouse or tap of your finger on a touchscreen.

Right before the Text-a-Thon begins, at 2pm ET, Resistance Labs will be offering a virtual training for those who prefer training then. SIGN UP HERE for day of the event Pre-Training to RSVP for the 2pm ET training, and then you’ll be ready when the Text-a-Thon begins at 2:45pm ET:
