We are excited to announce that Danielle Allen, distinguished author, Harvard professor, and recent candidate for Governor of Massachusetts, will be speaking to us about opportunities to improve democracy in Massachusetts, and make the state a shining example for the country.

Who: 

Danielle Allen, author, Harvard professor, and recent candidate for the Governor of Massachusetts, will speak about opportunities to improve democracy in Massachusetts and in states around the country.

Why: 

In the course of her distinguished career, Professor Allen  has explored civic institutions and democratic practices both current and past.  Recently she has co-chaired the bipartisan Commission on the Practice of Democratic Citizenship of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  The report included strategies and policy recommendations "to help the nation emerge as a more resilient democracy by 2026.
