Congresswoman Elaine Luria (VA 02) served two decades in the Navy, retiring at the rank of Commander. She is Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Committee and a member of the House Committees on Veterans’ Affairs, Homeland Security and The Select Committee on the January 6th Attack.
Congressman Tom Malinowski (NJ 07) was assistant secretary of state for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor in the Obama administration and worked as the chief advocate for Human Rights Watch. He served on President Bill Clinton's National Security Council. During his first term, he led a successful effort to restore funding the Trump administration cut to protect us from domestic terrorism. He is a Vice Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee and member of Homeland Security Committee.
Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger (VA 07) began her career of public service as a federal law enforcement officer working narcotics and money laundering cases with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Later she joined the CIA as a case officer. She serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
