Calling All Lincoln Voters: The Primary Election!


Yes!

Voting Day is the Day After Labor Day! And early voting starts Saturday 8/27. You can even mail or drop off your absentee ballot today!

What:  

The 2022 Massachusetts Primary Election

When:  

Tuesday, September 6
Early in person voting is August 27 - September 2 
Deadline for registering for primary is August 22.

Where:

at Brooks School on Ballfield Road or earlier by mail (and there is a ballot box at the Town Offices to drop off your absentee ballot in person)

Why:  

Primaries are important.  Voters determine which candidates will be on the November ballot.  At the polls Independents can ask for the ballot of their choice and their status as Independent does not change.

Details:

• Our Town clerk has sent:  

  1. applications for mail in ballots to all Lincoln voters; 

  2. ballots to voters who have requested mail in ballots.

• Unenrolled voters (Independents) can choose either Democratic or Republican ballots either at the polls or by indicating their choice on the application form.
