Learn skills of texting, phone banking, and other means to get out the vote all of which you can do at home. We hope you’ll join us regularly and be part of the rapidly growing squad of Concord Indivisible activists online! You don’t have to attend the online huddle to participate in Huddle @ Home activities, but the call provides context, community, and fun.
During the 2018 midterms, voter suppression affected millions — through voter roll purges, poll closures, hours-long lines, missing absentee ballots, and strict voter ID laws, all disproportionately preventing urban dwellers and people of color from exercising their right to vote.
At our April 19 virtual Huddle @ Home, participants learned how insidious voter suppression efforts are and what we can do about it.
Here are some of the actions you can do from home:
Watch the 9 minute video, Suppressed: The Fight to Vote and share it with your friends and family.
Send postcards to people of color in the South to help fight voter suppression.
Pick up cards from Jean Milburn in Wayland, daily 10-6. (email for details)Join a phonebank, calling unregistered voters in Georgia for the rescheduled June 9 primary.
