Wednesday, August 19: A More Perfect Union
Join us on Wednesday, August 19 from 9-11 pm ET for the third night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, where we’ll hear from Kamala Harris and nominate her as the next Vice President of the United States.

America is not going back to where it was before Donald Trump’s mismanagement of the pandemic and subsequent economic crisis, because for too many people, that wasn’t good enough. As he leads us out of crisis, Joe Biden will help build back better. He will have a historic partner in these efforts: the first female vice president. On Wednesday, you will hear from the Vice Presidential nominee and many others who are committed to working alongside Joe Biden to achieve his goals to form a more perfect union.
Pre-Show: 7:30 - 8:15 pm
Bold Leadership: Women Governors Leading
The Democratic Governors Association is excited to partner with the Democratic National Convention to host a panel on Bold Leadership: Women Governors Leading the States featuring Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Maine Gov. Janet Mills, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (tentative), moderated Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo.
At a point when the country’s eyes have turned to Democratic governors for leadership, the six women Democratic governors representing Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon, and Rhode Island have emerged as trusted figures in an uncertain time. This platform gives five of these governors the chance to talk about their success and challenges holding the highest office in the state. The panel is designed to be a casual conversation, ranging a variety of topics.
With voters hungry for representation that actually represent this country, we are proud to be able to present to America five women executive leaders who are moving their states and this country forward.
